Richard the Roofer loves HYDE'S RESTAURANT I have been coming here my entire life and have never been disappointed over 50 years of great food and service.

Quaint throw-back diner feel where you walk in and can tell the coffee will be simple yet perfect, the staff seasoned and friendly and the patrons are weekly regulars. Banana Cream Pie (homemade) has thick cuts of banana with a meringue style whipped topping. It’s sweet but not too sweet. Very much a banana pudding (without the wafers) type pie topped with a whip that almost has a campfire feel to it. They do offer a “Hap-Pie Hour” special in the afternoons for pie and coffee for a late day pick me up! The Kitchen Sink Breakfast is the ultimate scramble bowl with a biscuit, gravy, choice of one egg (how you like, I chose sunny), one meat (sausage, bacon, bologna, I chose bologna), cheese and the option to add potatoes (shredded or diced, I chose diced). It is warm and good, taste is flavorful with a nice balance in every bite. (Would definitely order again!) I opted for hot sauce (Tabasco is my go to!) The staff? Some of the nicest I have met on my travels, warm and real. 10/10 experience and food, heavily recommend for anyone in the area (come here’s or from here’s) for a laid back dining experience. They do serve breakfast all day long!

I've been going to Hydes with my family for 30 years. Not ALL of their food is the best, but they do have some really great stuff. The banana cream pie obviously is some of the best you can find. On my most recent trip I got the everything but the sink breakfast and I found the gravy to be pretty thin/watery/lacking flavor, but the potatoes were good and so was my dessert. It's always pretty busy and loud when I go in but the staff are all very kind and they work extremely hard.

Our first visit here we could not have found a more inviting place for breakfast. Wife had French toast which she enjoyed. I had the Western omelette that was cooked perfect. It was a stuffed omelette with more topping on top and the hash browns are crispy and tasty and not overly salty. The biscuit was the real star of my meal. These are never frozen. Never out of a can-biscuits made fresh each day and you will tell that from the first bite you take. No butter needed because the butter is baked right in. Service was great even though they were very crowded. We had to wait slightly longer than normal for a meal but they kept us apprised of the wait and the meal was delivered very hot and fresh off the grill. We will be back and would encourage you to go if you've not been there before.

A sweet little 'hole in the wall' type spot with friendly service. Food was good but not amazing, except the cinnamon roll

Hyde's is one of those mom and pop type of hidden gem restaurants. Almost everyone there was a regular and interacted with the staff with a familiarity borne of years of meals. The menu is small but the food came out fast. We came for the pie but had breakfast, too. The biscuits were fluffy and buttery, toasted beautifully, but felt like they came from a can. The sausage gravy didn't have much in the way of sausage or seasoning. Nothing some salt and pepper didn't help. The homefries were unseasoned but browned on one side. We each had a slice of pie: lemon (meringue) and custard. The meringue was very sweet and fluffy, pairing wonderfully with the bitter lemon curd filling. The custard had a hint of cinnamon and sugar - just enough to add personality. Worth a try if you're in the area. Don't hold them to a high bar and focus on the service and pies.

Your hometown diner. Is reasonable and basic. Eggs cooked good and sausage was good. Breakfast potatoes nasty

1st time visit, definitely not last time. Very homey place, very busy. First the 3 of us split a half order of biscuits and gravy. Delicious. I had pancakes, eggs and bacon. Kim had ham and beans with fried potatoes and cornbread. Teri had fried chicken with coke slaw and mashed potatoes. We took home a piece of lemon melange pie. All delicious. Rhianna was a Fantastic waitress. One negative was no real butter only a butter spread that was 40% vegetable oil.
